As Christmas is fast approaching, we are all looking for ways to get into the holiday spirit. With family in town and the kids on break, we’ve found some great ways for your family to join in on the holiday cheer!

Where To See Christmas Lights

Walkway of Lights – Marion
This light display has over 2.5 million lights spanning a two mile trail along the Mississinewa Riverwalk in Matter Park. This is one of the largest light displays in the Midwest.

Christmas at the Zoo – Indianapolis
The Indianapolis Zoo always does an amazing job with their light displays, and this year they are adding even more! For the last three years they have been voted in the top five of the USA Today’s 10 Best Zoo Lights; so make sure you check them out this holiday season!

Mooresville Christmas Light Tour – Mooresville
Pile up the car and follow the digital map as you take in the best lights that Mooresville has to offer. Vote on which house you like the best as you take part in this volunteer lead event. The event is put on to bring your family joy and help raise money for local nonprofit organizations.

Christmas Nights of Lights – Indianapolis
You won’t want to miss these lights! Synchronized to Christmas music played through your car stereo, take in over a million lights as they magically light up the night sky. The event is not meant to be scary, more so spooky. The trail lasts about 90 minutes so there is plenty to see! Fun for a night out with the kids or a get-together with friends. Enjoy festive beverages and snacks such as apple cider, caramel corn, and several alcoholic beverages to help get you into the fall spirit.

Where To See Santa

Some things to consider while going to visit Santa this Christmas. Social distancing policies are in place at most if not all of these locations as well as the wearing of a mask. It is crucial that Santa does not contract the virus with his big day coming up soon. If you want to see Santa here is a list of places he will be at:

The Fashion Mall At Keystone – Indianapolis
Greenwood Park Mall – Greenwood
Hamilton Town Center – Noblesville
Castleton Square Mall – Castleton
Children’s Museum – Indianapolis
Clay Terrace – Carmel  (10AM – 8PM until Dec 23)

Other Holiday Activities

Ice Skating

There are so many great winter activities, and nothing feels more wintery than ice skating! The Indianapolis area offers several great locations to get your skating fix!

Fuel Tank – Fishers
Perry Park – South side of Indianapolis
Carmel Ice Skadium – Carmel
Arctic Zone Ice Plex – Westfield

Snow Tubing

Koteewi Run in Noblesville offers snow tubing down a 700 foot lane complete with a tow line to bring you back up to the top. Great for families with kids.

So Much More

That is it for our Holiday 2020 list of Indy activities, but there is so much more out there! We hope this has given you some ideas and inspiration on how to best spend your holidays this year! We hope you enjoy the snow, time with loved ones, and all the festivities taking place this Christmas season. From all of us at Pyatt Builders – Happy Holidays!
