This 27-mile trail is what used to be part of the Indianapolis, Chicago, and Louisville Railway. This urban trail will take you under ramps of major highways, residential areas, and on the 10th street trailhead it lands you jut a block away from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail where you’ll find museums, shops, restaurants, and more! As for your local Carmel area, the trail will take you by the famous Palladium and you’ll even pass the relocated Carmel Monon Depot that was built in 1883. During the holiday season, you will find the Monon decked out in Christmas lights! Enjoy taking a stroll though the beautifully lit tunnels before you head home.
